<p>Lexus&#8217;ın asıl pazarı olan Kuzey Amerika&#8217;da satılması şimdilik düşünülmeyen modelin rakipleri BMW 1 serisi ve Audi A3&#8242;e göre en büyük farkı, tüm motor alternatiflerinin hibrit olması. Aracın konsept hali olan LF-Ch konseptine bir hayli benzemesine rağmen biraz fazla ehlilleştirilmiş gibi duran aracın Avrupalı rakipleri karşısında nasıl bir başarısı olacak merak ediyorum ama içimden bir ses bu otomobil için doğru zaman değil diyor.</p>

<div>The new Lexus CT 200h is the first full hybrid vehicle to be launched in  the premium compact segment. Entering production in late 2010 and set  for sale worldwide, the full hybrid model will provide a new gateway to  the Lexus range and attract new, younger customers to the brand.</p>
<p>The CT 200h was designed and developed with the European market in mind.  Lexus&#8217;s first five-door compact car, its size, packaging, full hybrid  technology and low emissions fully address the requirements of  discerning, environment-conscious customers in a key market sector. At  the same time, it does not compromise the quality, refinement and  driving pleasure that are the hallmarks of every Lexus.</p>
<p><strong>Exterior and interior design</strong></p>
<p>The production-ready CT 200h retains strong visual links to the LF-Ch  concept Lexus unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt motor show. Its styling  marks a powerful evolution of Lexus&#8217;s L-finesse design philosophy with a  distinctive, sharp-edged look that sets it apart from its premium  compact rivals.</p>
<p>The exterior is styled for maximum aerodynamic efficiency and minimum  wind noise. The strong front grille, directly referencing the LF-Ch  concept sits over a full-width bumper and air dam. The headlamp units,  positioned higher than the grille (a signature feature of L-finesse  design), incorporate LED daytime running lights.</p>
<p>In profile, the steeply raked windscreen, long, flowing roofline and  Lexus slingshot window graphic combine to create an elegant and  distinctive silhouette. The front and rear corners have been pulled in  tight and the wings are styled to improve airflow down the sides of the  vehicle.</p>
<p>At the rear, the trailing edge of the roof overhangs a wide, wraparound  rear window to create a seamless, integrated spoiler. A pronounced step  in the tailgate section flows from the shoulders of the rear wheelarches  and is anchored by a tail lamp design that displays the L-shaped motif  that Lexus first introduced on the current LS model.</p>
<p>The interior combines superior ergonomics with extensive use of metallic  finishes and dark, soft-touch surfaces.</p>
<p>Lexus has retained the asymmetrical dashboard design seen in the LF-Ch  show car. Based on the Future Lexus Interior concept, the dashboard is  split into an upper Display Zone, with an eight-inch LCD multi-display  screen; and a lower Operation Zone, with the shift lever and other  controls such as Lexus&#8217;s Remote Touch multi-function controller.</p>
<p>In keeping with the car&#8217;s performance, the driving position is set low,  with a highly supportive driver&#8217;s seat. The instrument binnacle houses  large, twin dials; in SPORT mode, the hybrid indicator in the binnacle  functions as a tachometer and the ambient lighting turns from blue to  red. The two-mode switch ring and a spotlight in the centre cluster also  light up in red, changing the whole atmosphere of the cabin.</p>
<p>In spite of its compact, efficient design, the CT 200h offers a roomy  interior. The 2,600mm wheelbase allows for front and rear passenger  accommodation that is among the most spacious in the segment. Luggage  capacity is 345 litres, increasing to 700 litres with the rear seats  lowered.</p>
<p><strong>Lexus Hybrid Drive</strong></p>
<p>The Lexus Hybrid Drive system in the CT 200h combines a 1.8-litre VVT-i  petrol engine with a powerful electric motor. Drivers have the choice of  four selectable drive modes: ECO and NORMAL place the emphasis on  efficiency and comfort, while SPORT focuses on dynamic performance.</p>
<p>Unlike mild hybrid systems used by other manufacturers, the CT 200h also  has an EV (electric vehicle) mode that allows for ultra-quiet running  on the electric motor alone, resulting in zero fuel consumption and CO2,  NOx and particulate emissions. The car is capable of running in EV mode  for up to 1.2 miles at speeds up to 28mph.<br />
<strong><br />
Chassis and suspension</strong></p>
<p>The CT 200h is built on a new platform with a dedicated double wishbone  and trailing arm rear suspension system. It has been developed  specifically to combine the ride comfort expected of a Lexus with  superior driving involvement and handling agility.</p>
<p>Several elements in the MacPherson strut design have been exclusively  developed for the mode, including the coil springs and shock absorbers,  and a new front anti-roll bar has been designed to deliver improved roll  rigidity.</p>
<p>The double wishbone rear suspension is exclusive to the CT 200h and  incorporates a lightweight trailing arm. The springs and shocks are  positioned separately to minimise intrusion into the loadspace floor.</p>

<p>Lexus markası altında bir süper spor otomobil geliştirme projesi de 2005 yılında Ocak ayında sergilenen LF-A konsepti ile ortaya çıktı. Geçen 4 yıl içinde sergilene konsept araçta tasarım güncellemeleri yapıldı ama projenin hayata geçişi hep ertelendi. 2009&#8242;a geldiğimizde otomotiv endüstrisini ciddi şekilde vuran, Honda&#8217;nın F1&#8242;den çekilmesine, markaların el değiştirmesine yol açan küresel finans krizi patlamış ve Toyota gibi markalar da asıl yatırımlarının büyük bir kısmını hibrit ve elektrikli modellere aktarmaya başlamışlardı. Tam bu dönemde Toyota uzun bir dönem süren hızlı büyümesinin ardından ilk defa küçülme ile karşılaşınca şirket CEO&#8217;su istifasını vermiş ve onyıllar sonra Toyota&#8217;nın başına markanın kurucusu olan Toyoda ailesinden bir üye geçmişti. Akio Toyoda&#8217;nın motor sporlarına ve performansa olan tutkusu, belki de rafa kaldırılmasına kesin gözüyle bakılabilecek LFA projesinin hayata geçmesindeki en önemli unsurdu.</p>

<p><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lexus_LFA">Lexus LFA</a> için tamamen sıfırdan bir şasi ve yürüyen aksam geliştirildi. Aracın 4.8 litrelik V10 motoru 552hp güç üretiyor ve bu güç 6 ileri sequential bir vites kutusuyla arka tekerleklere aktarılıyor.. Karbon-fiber gövdeye sahip LFA 354lb-ft torku ve 9.000dd motor devriyle 0-100km hızlanmasını 3,7 saniyede gerçekleştirebiliyor. Aracın son hızı da 202mph (325km/s). Bu değerler neredeyse <a href="http://www.carluvr.com/index.php/2009/07/28/savulun-karsimizda-ferrari-458-italia/">Ferrari 458 Italia</a> ile aynı. Ferrari 458 Italia&#8217;nın yerini alacağı F430 modelinin ABD fiyatı 170 bin dolardan başlarken Lexus&#8217;un yaklaşık 375.000 dolara satılması biraz anlamsız olacak gibi. Fakat üretilecek model sayısı 500 ile sınırlı olacağı için bu parayı verecek olanlar mutlaka çıkacaktır. Bu arada astronomik fiyatına rağmen Lexus&#8217;un satılacak her bir LFA üzerinden zarar edeceği tahmin ediliyor. <br style="font-style: italic;" /> <span style="font-style: italic;">The newly developed 4.8-liter V10 engine boasts exceptional power, while lightweight materials (aluminum alloy, magnesium alloy and titanium alloy) and a very compact size (smaller than a conventional V8) allows for optimal weight distribution and an exceptional power-to-weight ratio.</span><br style="font-style: italic;" /> <br style="font-style: italic;" /> <span style="font-style: italic;">Carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) cabin enhances high body-rigidity and reduces weight. This unique cabin is 100kg lighter than a comparable aluminum cabin. Detailed analysis and precise matching of CFRP materials allows for high rigidity and low weight. Furthermore, optimal placement of the transmission and the fuel tank in front of the rear axle adds to this application of centralized mass. This minimizes weight shift during cornering and contributes to outstanding performance and stability. The centralized seating concept (with the seat between the front and rear axles and closer to the left–right center) is made possible by the use of a rear transaxle and vertically stacked torque tube and exhaust pipes reducing the width of the center tunnel. Burada da çektiğim fotoğraflardan yayınlamaya değer bulduklarımı paylaşıyorum.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Öncelikle Honda City&#8217;den bahsedeyim. B segmenti sedan otomobiller Türkiye binek otomobil pazarının en çok satılan modelleridir. Honda City&#8217;nin yeni kasası bu pazarı kesinlikle çok hareketlendirecek. Renault Clio Symbol gibi gevrek otomobillerin hakim olduğu bu segmentte Honda City B&#8217;den ziyade C segmenti bir araç gibi görünmesiyle, çok şık bir alternatif olacak gibi. Honda standından beğendiğim diğer araç da, ilk olarak İngiliz Otomobil Fuarı&#8217;nda sergilenen Honda OSM (Open Study Model)&#8217;di. Mevcut Civic&#8217;in iki kişilik bir cabrio&#8217;su gibi görünen bu araç aslında Civic&#8217;ten daha kısa. S2000&#8242;in yeni kasası olacağına dair iddialar da atıldı ama OSM hakkında net olan en önemli bilgi şu; Honda&#8217;nın gelecek dönem tasarım anlayışını yansıtıyor.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">Land Rover LRX konsepti hakkında yazılanları abartılı buluyordum ama aracı yakından görünce muhteşem olduğunu düşündüm ben de. Ne yazık ki güzel fotoğraflayamadım. Land Rover&#8217;ın yeni sahibi Tata&#8217;nın LRX&#8217;i üretmeyi ciddi şekilde düşünüyor olması çok sevindirici.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">Bu sıralar yeni &#8220;flow&#8221; tasarım anlayışını pekiştirmek için her fuara başka bir konseptle katılan Mazda, İstanbul Autoshow Fuarı&#8217;na da Kazamai konseptini getirmişti. Mazda&#8217;nın bu oyuncaklarından birisini hayata geçirmesini bekliyoruz artık.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">Toyota tarafındaki tek yenilik yeni Avensis&#8217;ti. İki yıl önceki Auris lansmanında getirdikleri altın Auris&#8217;ten sonra bu fuarda da gümüş bir Auris vardı ama iki yıldır yollarda olan bir otomobilinin gümüşü bile ilgimi çekmedi. Avensis&#8217;in Lexus IS serisiyle benzerliği gözlerden kaçmadı. Bu arada fuarın bir sürprizi de Lexus&#8217;un ayrı bir marka olarak stand açmasıydı; evet, Lexus resmi olarak Türkiye&#8217;ye gelmiş. IS serisinin en performanslı modeli IS-F&#8217;i oldukça beğendim. Sanırım kasa boyutu olarak Lexus&#8217;un M3&#8242;ü diyebiliris IS-F için.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">En büyük hayal kırıklıklarımdan birisi, resmen lanse edilmiş yeni Megane&#8217;ın Renault standında yer almaması, onun yerine bol bol eski Megane&#8217;ın standı kaplamasıydı. Renault, Megane&#8217;ın resmi lansmanını yapmadan önce tanıtarak yeni Megane hakkında merak uyandırmaya çalıştığı Megane Coupe Concept&#8217;i getirmişti. Bir hafta önce gerçek üretim modelinin sergilendiğini düşünürsek pek üzücü bir durumdu bu.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">Mercedes-Benz standı da pek ilgi çekici değildi. İstanbul sokaklarında her gün gördüğümüz modeller dışında yeni GLK serisi köşede sessiz sessiz ilgi bekliyordu. Ağabeyi M serisinden çok büyük ağabeyi G serisine benzeyen hatlarıyla GLK erkeklerden çok kadınların ilgisini çekiyor gibi geldi bana.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">Hyundai hiç bir zaman favori otomobil markalarımdan birisi olmamıştır ama Autoshow&#8217;a getirdikleri i-mode konseptiyle beni etkilemeyi başardılar. Uyduruk proje araçları gibi değil, ince detaylarla hesaplanmış, üretime hazır bir model gibi görünüyordu i-mode. Bir de plakada Bayer logosu gördük. Bir ilaç şirketinin konsept bir otomobilin geliştirilmesinde ne rolü oldu acaba diye düşünüp eve gelince konuyu Google&#8217;ladım. i-mode&#8217;un yenilikçi tarafı üretiminde kullanılan iç ve dış malzemelermiş ve bu malzemeleri de Bayer geliştirmekteymiş. <p style="text-align: left;">Bunlar dışında fuarda çok dikkat çekmeyen başka bir bomba daha gizliydi. Nissan GTR, bir kafesin arkasındaki vahşi bir hayvan gibi bana bakarken yanından ayrılmakta güçlük çektim. Çok ama çok güzeldi. Türkiye&#8217;ye ne zaman geleceği konusunda net bir bilgi yok.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">Son eleştirim BMW standına. O kadar sıkışık ve kötü bir yerleşim düzeni vardı ki, keşke 3-5 model eksik getirselerdi ama en azından onları rahat rahat görebilseydik diye düşündüm. X6&#8242;nın ve yeni 7 serisinin fotoğraflarını çekmek istedim ama standdaki görüntü aşağıdaki gibi olduğu için hızla uzaklaştım oradan.</p>
